Logan Elementary and Clague Middle School Communities Mourn Death of Two Sisters

Jade Browning was preparing to enter seventh grade at Clague Middle School after attending Logan Elementary throughout her elementary years. Instead, the Ann Arbor school communities are mourning Jade and her younger sister, Gia Browning. Ann Arbor Public Schools announced the loss June 18. Gia was not an Ann Arbor Public Schools student.

The loss came during summer break, when students, families, and staff lacked the usual in-person school community structures for collective support.

Jade's mother expressed gratitude for the love and support of everyone who knew Jade and their family and appreciated being surrounded by community care during this difficult time.
